Stop for a slice of pizza. Corrientes is one of the city's main arteries. It intersects 9 de Julio Avenue at the Obelisco and is famous for its pizzerias, theatres and bookshops.
This avenue truly never sleeps! On Saturday and Sundays, half of Avenida Corrientes becomes pedestrian so you can stroll Walk around and people watch. Feel the city lights and pulse. Corrientes is a big part of BA and worth a short walk at night Corrientes is a huge Avenue - the only remotely nice area is close I mean blocks from the Obelisque.
Small streets, cheap shops, and definitely not the best architecture in Buenos Aires. Beware if you're walking on the streets between Palacio Barrolo and this Avenida Corrients is one of downtown Buenos Aires main streets.
If you are around you might as well walk along it. There is the opera building, theaters, commercial shops and actor's stars and names on the sidewalk. You can Close to many of the main city sites in Buenos Aires, you will probably find yourself walking down it without knowing it. Check it out on a map, or simply enjoy it without knowing you are there! If I wasn't seeing a show, i'm not sure I would seek this place out but i also didn't spend a ton of time here and didn't come here at night.
