The website makes this hotel look like a very cool, quirky place with lots of individually styled rooms making it unique in the area. The reality is that it looks, feels and smells like a brothel. The rooms we saw were dark and the decor looks a lot more takcy in real life. We only stayed for one night, thank goodness. The only saving grace is the pool area is quite nice with a couple of lovely jet pools.
We don't recommend long distance travellers bother with this place unless you love brothels of course. This hotel is definitely different, which is of course the entire point! Our room Cabin Still lived up to our expectations in terms of wackiness, but my wife and I were awoken at around on both of the 2 mornings we stayed there by the dreadful noise of the hotel laundry which was obviously immediately beneath the room.
The bed was also not very comfortable and the mattress really needs replacing. The wifi was very poor - it was slow and frequently dropped out for all of our devices - this just isn't good enough in Overall I feel we were entitled to expect more from a hotel in this price range, so although I accept that it's a "one-off" and fun, I think it needs attention to some aspects. Our room, the Krazy Daisy, had pink ceilings and green and pink daisies on the wall.
It was like a chapter of Alice in Wonderland if Alice had spent part of her time inside a Pepto Bismal bottle. We were on the third floor and had to schlep our bags up winding stairs to get there, but the bathroom offered a bidet feature and heated drying. To complete the water theme, the infinity pool is magnificent with incredible views and walk-right-in temperature.
In the bar, Bachelorettes and guys with gimme hats competed for space on a Friday night, while practiced performers of all ages made the dance floor mesmerizing. One couple had matching outfits and lights on their shoes. An adventure worth having. On the bad with the exception of Thomas in the cafe at breakfast most of the staff where quite sullen and the younger staff quite disinterested. However that being said it's quirky and worth a stop over. The highlight for us was being the only ones in the heated pool at 7am looking at mountains.
