Many hotels pride themselves around some kind of thematic experience, if Versal were to have one tagline, it would be the Condom Cave. Upon entering the premises we were greeted by a prostitute fresh off her nightly shift, and when we walked into the "lobby" we interrupted the owner passing condoms to another lady of the night just getting ready to perform her services.
A pleasant start to our first night in Bishkek. I know, sounds like a blast, but it wasn't til the final moments in Versal did I get the best part of the experience. I was performing the customary look under the bed for any lost belongings. Face on the floor and lifted the sheet, and less than an inch from my nose was a used condom. If you're looking for a stay in brothel experience, then by all means, Versal is the place for you.
If you are not into sleeping on semen stained sheets I would recommend you keep searching. This is a small place and the rooms we had were spacious and quiet, They were clean and well presented. The steps to the rooms were rather steep. There was secure off street parking which was good.
We walked through central Bishkek and dined at local places within 15 min walk. Although we had breakfast one morning which was okay I do not think that providing food is their key task. There is an undercover pool which we did not use. I stayed there in August Convenient location, large, comfortable rooms, huge bed. Staff, only russian speaking, but extremely helpful.
They made me feel like home. They brought me complimentary chai and ordered a taxi in the middle of the night. Great alternative to a hostel, where two ppl would pay more for a bed space than for that cosy room.
