Clean and spacious room and a friendly owner. This basic hotel is located right in the center of Daugavpils, yet it is quiet enough to get a good rest before hitting the road again. We stayed there on a cold summer day and definitely enjoyed that the heater in the room was on. We arrived to find this hotel doesn't take credit cards, only cash, so luckily we had enough Euros in our pockets.
The room we had was good enough, though no fridge and not many towels, but we had fun being right on the tram line. Take the 3 tram which comes every minutes over to the Rothko art exhibit at the fortress, you won't be disappointed.
This hotel feels like it used to be a bath house or a brothel, lots of tile everywhere, but in fact our family had fun staying here and we'd do it again, though we would research the city of Daugavpils a bit more first - most stores and restaurants were closed the weekend we were there. Kind of mysterious really, but not the fault of the hotel.
