I like it because is walking distance from the old city e. Piata Mica.. Piata Mare.. Visited last week on a trip to Sibiu. Fairly basic place but great value and friendly staff. Thought breakfast was included in the price but wasn't so went elsewhere. Larger range of English speaking channels would have been nice. Dear coughandcath, We very much appreciate your feedback! Best regards, Camelia Cristea-Bratu. Spent five nights here during the Astra Film Festival. Staff - at the desk, the breakfast buffet and the cleaners - are all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and a decent size. The breakfast buffet was mediocre. A lot of choice, but not very appetizing. Would rather have less, but higher quality.
The old town is in close walking distance. All in all my stay here was good. Come here if you need somewhere to sleep. Don't come here if you're looking for a place you can also spend time during the day. It's just too sterile and standardized for that. Ibis may not be as modern and cozy as other hotels in Sibiu, but it's great location, free parking, good wifi, nice personnel and extremely clean bedsheets will make your stay as enjoyable as you need. During our stay I noticed prices vary during the day depending on availability. So I presume that it is important to book early. Room are very good, clean, good air-conditioning, decent bathroom, fridge in the room but no kettle. Breakfast was 8 euro per person extra; which in my opinion is too expensive. We bought our own breakfast.
Location is great, on a walking distance from the city centre. If you have to go to the airport, bus 11 has a stop nearby the hotel. The only inconvenience is the street noise throughout the night.
