I will be travelling to Medellin in a month's time and wanted some advice on where to go to experience some of the colombia's finest. If you are looking at places like the Mansion, chances are you will be staying in the part of the city called El Poblado. The neighborhood is one of the safest in Medellin , and also has some of the best bars and clubs. Be sure to check out the places on Calle 10, and around Parque Lleras. Mangos is always mentioned as one of the top, but there are so many within walking distance that you can just explore all night.

I would not try to find a bar in the central town. This is the nicest and safest area of town. Contact the guys from www. Some of the english speaking taxi drivers are a great source of info. The Medellin Hostels are a fun place to hang out and meet friends but i find that you cant really sleep there, so staying a few days there is always fun, and then getting a medellin apartment rental afterwards can really help you share ideas with other travelers and learn about the area.

Fase II is wonderful I believe the owner of this club also owns San Diego--not nearly as nice an establishment as Fase II but you can find a nice gal or two,.. Nestled in the mountains, atop Poblado this is a spa where you can find a lovely lady to give you a massage I'll be in Colombia celebrating my best friend's last days of bachelorhood before he gets married on his 40th bday. Would you suggest that we celebrate a weeklong bachelor party for him in Medellin or Cartagena?
