We just booked at the Buenaventura Grand. We normally do not do AI's but are not familiar with PV. We are hoping the hotel is OK, but plan to adventure out a lot. We are not coming until the end of February. Will the construction be done then. How far are we from the Malecon? We are all about fifty years old and like to have a few drinks and relax.
Was this resort a good choice? Ive only been to PV once and it was an excellent week at Buenaventura. Sorry I cant answer your question about any construction.
The resort is just a short walk to the malecon and a bit further to old town. Its definitely central for your outings and very laid back for relaxing with some cocktails. I think you made a great choice. We are very familiar with PV and the Buenaventura is generally our base hotel, located in a great location within walking distance to town; AI is an adder for us for convenience and we still go into town for some dinners and drinks.
We will be at Buenaventura Nov 9th to 18th. This will be our second visit ,we really enjoyed it the first time. We had no complaints with our first visit other than our room being unavailable til late afternoon.
Enjoy your stay Thanks for the info everyone. JNS you said there is a small adult pool. Can you get a chair? Do I have to get up at am to play the towel game? Also, is there a dress code if we do use the restaurants? We had a great time there early this year and are going back in Feb. It is about 6 blocks to the start of the Malecon.
